World Surf Circuit in Portugal |
 In August, the world's surfing circuit will visit the Ribeira de Ilhas
beach in a spectacle of pure adrenaline.
Some of the world's finest surfers will be present in the Ribeira de
Ilhas beach, in Ericeira, in order to take part in the Buondi
Billabong Pro. The first edition of this championship was held back
in 1985, and forms part of the WQS – World Qualifying Series. It
was recently promoted to a six star classification -- the highest
ranking for this sport.
In addition to its magnificent natural setting and the quality of its
waves, the Ribeira de Ilhas beach also has exciting nightlife - including bars, concerts
and parties with DJ’s who imbue the beach area with tremendous energy.
