In July, the city’s historic centre will be completely invaded by
jazz.
Don’t miss the concerts that are included in the Loulé International
Jazz Festival and will be bringing to the Algarve top-class world
acts.
This annual event organized by Casa da Cultura de Loulé was held
for the first time in 1995 and has earned its reputation over the
years by presenting not only classical jazz trios, sometimes joined
by orchestras or great jazz voices, but also innovative groups
offering a fusion of jazz with other kinds of rhythms, such as blues, funk, pop-rock or
European classical music.
The performances will be given in the Cerca do Convento do
Espírito Santo, one of Loulé's historic buildings, which provides the ideal setting for an
open-air concert on a summer’s night.
