In July, the FIA tourism vehicles world championship will be held in
Portugal, in the city of Oporto.
Four titles will be at stake – Pilots and Builders Championships,
Independent Pilots Trophy and the Yokohama Trophy for nonofficial
teams. The event will be officially sponsored by four brands
- Alfa Romeo, BMW, Chevrolet and Seat.
The location for the championships will be the Boavista circuit -
that was recently remodeled in accordance with FIA's safety
norms, and is now able to receive any kind of international
championship. In the immediate surrounding area, the estuary of the River Douro
provides an amazing setting and the perfect spot for those looking for a wide array of
entertainment facilities, including a cluster of bars, restaurants and sea-view esplanades.
